Local Roots

A Tarboro Dentist with Local Roots

Patients call him a “local boy” in their reviews, and it fits. Dr. Bailey was raised in the same counties his patients drive in from, went to Philadelphia for dental school at Temple University, and came back to eastern North Carolina to practice.

How He Works

Pleasant, Professional + Educational Dentistry

Dr. Bailey runs his office on one idea: every visit should be pleasant, professional, and educational. You’ll hear what he sees, why it matters, and what your choices are, in plain English. He gives honest opinions, too, including when a simpler option will get you where you want to go.

He’s just as upfront about what belongs with a specialist. Root canals, orthodontics, gum grafts, sedation cases, and most wisdom teeth go to specialists. He’ll tell you why and give you a referral, and you call their office to set up the visit.

DMD or DDS? Same Degree, Different Name

Dr. Bailey holds a DMD, a Doctor of Dental Medicine. Some dental schools award a DDS, a Doctor of Dental Surgery, instead. The 2 degrees cover the same education and require the same licensing exams; the title depends only on the school.
